According to People, Taylor Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal are starting the new year solo. After spending the holidays and their birthdays apart, a source told People that “They’re over” and that their relationship “ended last month”. However, the two haven’t made the news official yet, and when approached, their reps refused to comment on it.

What comes as a big shocker is, in fact, the short-lived romance between the two – they were first seen together in October, backstage at Saturday Night Live, and last spotted publicly in early December in Los Angeles.

But while waiting for a new Taylor Swift song inspired by the swiftly relationship – which will probably provide us with more details about the break-up – a close eye should be kept on the newly-formed sensation-couple, Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber. After photos of the two kissing on a yacht in St. Lucia were released, Selena started getting quite disturbing death threats from angry Bieber fans via Twitter. Will these two stay strong and for how long?
