Every time i think of Mitshubishi i see cars but it seems that they are doing other things too .
They presented at CES a new rear-projection laser-based TV tech that are planing to launch in Q3 of this year : it is called LaserVue and will come in 65-inch and 73-inch models . Not many details regarding this new technology are out but currently we can say that it 200 percent color gamut a lot more than a normal HDTV. We will have to wait and see exactly what this new technology will bring …

Viliv unveils the new PMP ‘X5 series’ at CES

President Sam Sik Kim revealed the new PMP X5 at CES .
The PMP X5 can come with a built in wireless LAN or an external Modem (2 different models) . The model comes with a 12.2cm(4.8 inch) WVGA 800X480 LCD screen. The X5 comes with mobile flash 3.0.

The X5 has a 256 MB memory and a removable battery that has a 7-hour movie playback possible.

Sam Sik Kim stated that : “The X5 products have received good reaction from foreign buyers and visitors in this show that they are true multimedia devices,” and “We are expecting that the X5 AIO and X5 VANT will be successful in Korea market with improved wireless internet environment in Korea.”

The people from Yanko Design came up with another idea .

Usually i love all of the work presented there but this i really don’t get . The Chocolate Portable HDD ” looks like a chocolate bar but thats where the similarities end. Each piece is made of a modular flash drive. The central hub is a touchscreen to help you view and organize your collective files. ”

I saw a very interesting comment on Yanko Desing site :

Cool, but i’d lose all those pieces.

I have to agree with this I’d lose them too.

Dubai Air Show 10th Edition

This year is the 10th Dubai Air Show and takes place between Sunday 11th - Thursday 15th Nov.

Two hundred exhibitors took part in Dubai Airs Show 89. The show covered 7,000 square metres at Dubai International Airport, taking up one large exhibition hall. Twenty-five aircraft were on display and 10,000 industry visitors attended.

Just nine shows on and Dubai Air Show 2005 had 726 exhibitors covering 35,000 square metres in three large exhibition halls on a purpose-built site next to the airport. 101 aircraft were on display and 35,000 trade visitors attended.

A lot of rumors about the Apple Tablet navigated over the web but now it seems that the production of the Apple Tablet is a real fact . Asus is the Apple’s contract manufacturer. It’s one of the companies responsible for building the iBooks, PowerBooks and MacBooks . The big thing about this tablet is that it will contain the pressure sensitive touch-screens that were used in creating the iPhones . We now need to wait and see what happens next .

Samsung is launching hard disks for High-end PCs and Server Storage Markets .“The 64GB SATA II SSD is based on Samsung’s cutting-edge NAND technology with dramatically improved performance specs that are taking system performance to a whole new level of efficiency,” said Jim Elliott, director, NAND flash marketing, Samsung Semiconductor, Inc.

The new Samsung SATA II SSD has a 3.0 gigabit-per-second (Gbps) interface speed which is twice as fast as its SATA I predecessor. And i think that the most important thing is that the Sata II SSD requires only half as much power as the 1.9 watts consumed by hard drives now used in notebook PCs and only one-tenth the power consumed by hard drives in servers.

I have just found out that this week in San Jose took place the RoboDevelopment Conference and Exposition. It seems that robots are no longer the further away future but they are Today’s news . A lot of robots presented at the conference could make their way to the market in the next few years.
